PICKLEWEED PARK AND COMMUNITY CENTER San Rafael, CA Northern Electric Inc. worked with Midstate Construction to renovate an existing community center and library. Part of the project included the addition of a new gymnasium and multi-purpose room. The old 6,500 square foot facility was expanded to 24,000 square feet. The zoned, low-voltage lighting system that was installed maximizes energy use and allows the gym lighting to be “high” or “low” for the entire gym, or individually for each of the two practice courts. NEI takes pride in installing green components to buildings, especially those that will allow the Owners to cut costs and reduce energy consumption.
